BAND BIO:

About Rolie Polie: Frank Gallo and Andrew Tuzhilin created Rolie Polie Guacamole in late 2006. In 2007 they played at the "Green Meadow Festival" opening for Tom Chapin.

Their first full length CD was released in May of 2008. The self titled album has 11 original songs and one rocking cover, "This Land Is Your Land" sung by Jean Rohe. Jean's voice appears through out the album. Other favorites include "Rolie Polie Guacamole" , The "Museum Of Natural History" and "Always Brush Your Teeth". Christian McCarthy plays drums, and Jordan Simms plays piano and organ. The album artwork was done by Miriam and Robert Rayevskey.

Currently Rolie Polie Guacamole play concerts, music festivals, private parties, and schools on the east coast . They also preform regular programs for public libraries in Brooklyn and Providence. Frank and Andrew teach sing and dance along classes at Gumbo, Still Hip, the Prospect Park and Vanderbilt YMCA's in NYC.
Their classes are movement and music class using: egg shakers, balls , scarves books, and imagination to get kids of all ages up and moving to the beat.
Community dinner and sing-a-longs at Perch Cafe and Vox Pop have made Frank and Andrew, among the most grass roots of the Brooklyn kids scene.

On March 20, 2010 the band rocked the CD release party in honor of their second album "Time For Hummus". The first book Sing With Me, illustrated by (Jen Gaudiomonte), and the bands first music video Rolie Polie Guacamole (Miriam Rayevsky) were also premiered. The summer promises shows in Brooklyn, NYC, NJ, MA, RI, and more to come.
